Tom and Diana's Big Day

On November 11, 2006 some of the members of our club were invited to help celebrate the marriage of the founding member of the Long Island Division, Tommy Rustmann to his lovely bride Diana. Not only were there a number of GI Joe collectors in attendance, a few GI Joe’s decided to join the festivities as well.

Two GI Joe's showed up at the church to make sure that the ceremony went smoothly and to “take care” of anyone who tried to speak when the minister asked if there was anyone who though that the couple should not be joined in holy matrimony. Thankfully, Joes' presence prevented any shenanigans and the ceremony went off without a hitch.

Next it was on to the reception where a few members of the Adventure Team arrived in a freshly detailed MSV to celebrate with the happy couple and their guests. They used all 21 points of thier articulation to partying like it was 1970 again and they had just captured the Pygmy Gorilla. After a few rounds of shots and one-too-many trips to the chocolate fountain, the Joes’ (and the guests) were ready for a well deserved rest.

All of us at the Long Island Division want to wish Tommy and Diana all the best as they embark on their first of many great adventures together - marriage!
